Pada 15 Juli 2019, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia (FKUI) melaksanakan pertemuan dengan ketua Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) yang baru, yaitu dr. Hasto Wardoyo, Sp.OG(K). Pertemuan ini dihadiri oleh dekan FKUI sekaligus koordinator AHS UI Prof. Dr. dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, SpPD-KGEH, MMB, wakil koordinator AHS UI, dan staf dari departemen obsteri dan ginekologi FKUI-RSCM. Kegiatan diskusi ini juga turut dihadiri oleh Ketua BKKBN periode 1983-1998 Prof. Dr. Haryono Suyono, M.A. Ph.D.
Pada kesempatan ini, dr. Hasto menekankan bahwa beliau terbuka untuk bekerja sama dengan FKUI dalam mengatasi masalah kependudukan yang ada saat ini. Program Keluarga Berencana (KB) selama ini dipandang sukses dalam menurunkan angka kelahiran, namun beberapa tahun ini mengalami stagnansi. Ada juga masalah lain yang belum selesai, yaitu tingginya angka kematian ibu (AKI), kehamilan remaja, pernikahan dini, dan kurangnya pengetahuan masyarakat mengenai kesehatan reproduksi.
Prof. Ari menyatakan bahwa FKUI dalam kerangka Academic Health System siap membantu mantan bupati Kulon Progo ini. “Beberapa tahun belakangan ini, beberapa staf dan lulusan doktor FKUI memiliki penelitian-penelitian yang menarik dan bisa bekerja sama dengan BKKBN terkait pengaplikasiannya,” lanjutnya. Hal ini sejalan dengan pelaksanaan tahap pembangunan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang disampaikan oleh Presiden Joko Widodo. Beberapa di antaranya adalah:
- Pengembangan modul pelatihan oleh Dr. dr. Arietta R.D. Pusponegoro, SpOG(K). Modul pelatihan ini telah terbukti dapat meningkatkan kemampuan tenaga kesehatan dalam melakukan konseling sehingga dapat meyakinkan calon akseptor untuk melakukan pemasangan Metode Kontrasepsi Jangka Panjang (MKJP).
- Aplikasi “KLOP (Kriteria Kelayakan Medis Kontrasepsi) KB”, yaitu aplikasi berbasis android karya dr. Yudianto Budi Saroyo, SpOG(K) dan dr. Herbert Situmorang, SpOG beserta tim. Aplikasi tersebut berisi diagram lingkaran kriteria kelayakan medis dalam penggunaan kontrasepsi yang merupakan modifikasi diagram lingkaran WHO dalam bahasa Indonesia. Hingga saat ini KLOP KB sudah diunduh lebih dari 10.000 pengguna.
- Penelitian Dr. dr. J.M. Seno Adjie, SpOG(K) (2014) terkait “Pengaruh Model Pelatihan Teknik Khusus Pemasangan AKDR Copper T CU 380 A Pasca Plasenta terhadap Peningkatan Penerimaan, Penurunan Ekspulsi dan Infeksi serta Mempertahankan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Provider”.
- Penelitian Dr. dr. Omo Abdul Madjid, SpOG(K), MPH (2018) terkait “Pengembangan Model Peningkatan Mutu Terpadu (M-PMT) Pelayanan Kontrasepsi AKDR Pasca Persalinan pada Fasilitas Kesehatan Primer”.
- Penelitian Dr. dr. Irvan Adenin, SpOG (2019) terkait potensi penggunaan kembali AKDR Lippes Loop dengan judul penelitian “Hubungan Komponen Inflamasi dengan Glikodelin A dan Perannya sebagai Mekanisme Kerja AKDR Lippes Loop”.
FKUI berkomitmen untuk mendukung gerakan Keluarga Berencana Nasional melalui Pendekatan Pengembangan Kolaborasi (Collaborative Improvement Approach) yang meliputi implementation, preparation, discovery, dan interpretation. “Saat ini UI, melalui payung Academic Health System (AHS), sedang berusaha mengintegrasikan penelitian dan pelayanan dalam satu sistem” papar Dekan FKUI. Di akhir pertemuan, dr. Hasto menyampaikan apresiasi terhadap upaya-upaya yang telah dilakukan FKUI terkait pengembangan program KB. Untuk ke depannya, BKKBN akan secara aktif bekerjasama dengan FKUI, baik dalam hal pendidikan, penelitian, pelayanan, serta implementasi hasil-hasil penelitian dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas SDM Indonesia.
